Security Deposit Issues


Every jurisdiction has its own set of laws regarding security deposits.  Some dictate the maximum amount a landlord can request from a tenant, some do not.  All jurisdictions will have specific requirements regarding the amount of time a landlord has to return a security deposit and/or a statement of charges upon termination of a tenancy so be sure to look up the laws in your region.  Here are some links that will help you in your research.
